We built TRC with people who've been failed by other systems, dismissed, or asked to shrink themselves to fit in mind. That shapes everything about how we work.
You shouldn't have to educate your therapist about what it means to be trans, or mask your neurodivergent traits to seem like a "good" client, or wonder whether the person across from you sees who you are as something to be fixed. Our clinicians are here to meet you where you are, whether that's ready to dig in, not sure where to start, or somewhere in the middle.
What we offer:
Inclusive, affirming, and trauma-informed therapy
Group therapy and support groups
Letter writing
Who we work with:
Adults, teens and children
Couples and families
Where:
In-person in Fort Collins, and
Virtually throughout Colorado
Our clinicians bring a wide range of approaches to their work. If you're not sure what any of this means, that's okay, your therapist will talk with you about what might fit. If you're looking for something specific, here's what our team is trained in:
Humanistic, Relational & Person-Centered Therapy
Liberation, Decolonizing & Anti-Oppressive Frameworks
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Parts Work
Somatic, Embodied & Expressive Therapies
Play Therapy & Play-Based Approaches

And more!
See clinician profiles for more detail on who specializes in what.
Our clinical staff have completed extensive training in working with trans and gender expansive people.
We offer a single-session assessment to write letters for gender-affirming medical care.
We follow WPATH standards and an informed consent model. You're the expert on your own experience, and our role is to support your care, not stand between you and it.
Letters are available at whatever cost you can afford, including insurance billing, sliding scale, and pro bono options.
Cost shouldn't be the reason someone can't get support. Here's how we make that work:
We accept most major insurance providers, offer sliding scale rates, and maintain pro bono spots. We also use donations to cover copays and coinsurance for clients who are insured but can't afford out-of-pocket costs, stretching donations as far as possible. You can read more about how that works on our Partner with Us page.
Pro bono spots are prioritized for clients of color, because access to affirming mental health care has never been equally distributed and we think that's worth naming directly.
