I have a Masters in Community Mental Health Counseling and am currently working on completing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. I am queer, multiracial, cis-gender, and currently able-bodied. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with experience working with individuals, couples/systems, families, as well as supervision and teaching. Outside of work I spend time outdoors (ideally around water), with my cat (Luna), drinking coffee, and engaging with various forms of media.
I work primarily from a person-centered framework, a humanistic lens, incorporating multicultural, trauma informed care, and other modalities (CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Attachment, IFS, etc.) based on client need.
To quote Mary Pipher, I want you to be as intentional as possible in your choices and as kind, vibrant, authentic, and engaged with the world as you can be. I focus on our relationship as a catalyst for change as we examine areas in your life that may get in the way of moving towards your goals. My hope is that client’s feel both fully accepted and challenged in our relationship.
